and not just because it’s about diamonds….

Rafael Solano, his back bent, his shoulders crushed by an invisible weight, sat on a boulder in the dry river bed. He lifted his head up slowly. It weighed a ton. He spoke in a low voice, his words almost incomprehensible. He mumbled again to his two friends.

“I quit.”

They stopped gathering pebbles and looked at him. “I can’t go on. I don’t believe in it anymore.”

The sweat glistened on his brow. The brilliant sun had parched his face to a network of fine blood vessels. Dark shadows outlined his eyes.

He held up a pebble in his hand. “The next one will be a….” [continued]

    I don’t know if I agree about the platinum…

    Because I don’t know how platinum diamonds are mined. But this sounds like a good idea as far as spending less money on a diamond alternative, yes?

    Diamonds : Should Your Pet Be Blinging?

    For me, it’s a bit much to have my dog hooked up with “a little frosting” like shorty said in How to Lose a Guy in Ten Dates.

    But I read an article that’s kinda making me think a little differently… if they were no-conflict diamonds? Maybe I would do it.

    Diamond dog tags are the cream of the crop, the best of the best, the most luxurious type of dog tag you can buy.
