More About the Status of the World’s Diamonds
Today, 99.8 percent of rough diamonds for the jewelry industry are from conflict-free sources, and are certified as such by the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, an international agreement mandated by the UN General Assembly and endorsed by the Security Council.
That’s a quote from a press release made the day after Valentine’s Day.
